When Life is an Autumn

BE   STILL   AND   KNOW

(based on Ps.77; 79:5-6; Ps.46:10)

I am so troubled that I can not speak

My eyelids are opened, my heart is moved

Within me;  I’m troubled

My hands are stretched out in the night without ceasing

My soul is refusing to be comforted

Or calmed;  I’m troubled

I complained  and complained  and complained

And my spirit was overwhelmed, overwhelmed

Will Yahuah cast me off forever?

And will He be favorable no more?

And has His mercy ceased forever?

Has His promise failed forevermore?

Has Yah forgotten to be gracious?

Has His anger prevents His tender mercies?

Will His jealousy burn like constant fire?

Are You not Yahuah? Are You not my God?

I’ve become a reproach to my neighbors

A scorn and derision to all those

Around me;  I’m troubled

Pour out Your wrath on those who reject You

Your indignation on arrogant, proud

But why me?   Yah, I’m troubled

I complained  and complained  and complained

And my spirit was overwhelmed, overwhelmed

STOP! in the Name of Yah!

STOP, my soul, and  BE  STILL!

Be righteous still, be holy still

Bu humble still, forgiving still

BE STILL.  And know.  He is GOD.

Remember, my soul, remember Yahuah

The years of the right hand of the Most High

Recount ALL His  tender mercies

Remember, my soul, the works of Yahuah

His ways and His wonders, His strong loving hands

Of redemption   and salvation

Remember.  Recount.  Repeat.

Forget not all His benefits, O my soul

START! in the Name of Yah

START, my soul, praising Yah

Be righteous still, be holy still,

By humble still, forgiving still

BE  STILL.  And know.  He is  GOD.

PSALM 77

1I cried out to God; I cried aloud to God to hear me.

2 In the day of trouble I sought the Lord;
through the night my outstretched hands did not grow weary; my soul refused to be comforted.
3 I remembered You, O God, and I groaned; I mused and my spirit grew faint.

4 You have kept my eyes from closing; I am too troubled to speak.
5 I considered the days of old, the years long in the past.

6 At night I remembered my song; in my heart I mused, and my spirit pondered:

7 “Will the Lord forget and spurn us forever, and never show His favor again?
8 Is His loving devotion gone forever? Has His promise failed for all time?
9 Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has His anger shut off His compassion?”

10 So I said, “I am grieved that the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

11 I will remember the works of the LORD; yes, I will remember Your wonders of old.

12 I will reflect on all You have done and ponder Your mighty deeds.

13 Your way, O God, is holy.  What god is so great as our God?

14 You are the God who works wonders;  You display Your strength among the peoples.

PSALM 79

4 We have become a reproach to our neighbors,  a scorn and derision to those around us.

5 How long, O LORD?  Will You be angry forever?  Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

6 Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge You...

PSALM 46

10 “Be still and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted over the earth.”
