Truth. And Only Truth (Righteous Still)

TRUTH.  AND  ONLY  TRUTH!

(Psalm 51:1-17)

Yahuah, my Holy Adonai,

To You I come for mercy;

In Your compassion hear my cry,

Blot out my sins and crimes;

Oh wash me thoroughly, I pray,

You know my sins and wayward ways;

Still, You desire where my heart is —

Truth, and only truth!

Against You, Adonai, I’ve sinned,

Your tender heart I’ve wounded;

And though in sin I was conceived

And born to guilt and shame —

You’re just in charges at my door,

And blameless in Your sentence, Lord,

For You desire where my heart is —

Truth, and only truth!

Oh, sprinkle me with hyssop, Yah,

And I’ll be whiter than snow;

Let joy and gladness fill my heart,

And bones You’ve crushed will sing!

Oh, hide Your righteous loving face

From my transgressions and mistakes

I know, You’ve wanted where my heart is —

Truth, and only truth!

Create in me, my Adonai,

Clean heart, renew my Spirit;

Don’t cast away my pleas and cries,

Let me hold on to You!

And Holy Spirit that’s within

Don’t take away, but leave it in;

Restore me in my inward parts with

Truth, and only Truth!

My lips and tongue are full of praise;

My mouth — with thankful singing,

For Your Salvation and Your love

Are everlasting joy!

My sacrifice to You, Yahuah,

A broken spirit, chastened heart;

It’s where You will abide in:

Truth.   And only Truth.

PSALM 51 (KJV)

1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against Thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Thy sight: that Thou mightest be justified when Thou speakest, and be clear when Thou judgest.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which Thou hast broken may rejoice.

Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and uphold me with Thy free spirit.

13 Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto Thee.

14 Deliver me.. O God, Thou God of my Salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of Thy righteousness.

15 O YAHUAH, open Thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth Thy praise.

16 For Thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou delightest not in burnt offering.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.
