BABYLON

Psalm  137; 1John 2:3-6

By the rivers of Babylon

There we sat down, yea, and we wept

And we wept

We remembered our YAHUAH

His Word and that His instructions we’ve not kept

No, we’ve not kept

We hung our harps, we shut our mouths

We hung our heads, and bent our backs

And chose to be sick and blind and deaf and lame

And to cover ourselves with shame

We covered ourselves with shame

As long as we were here in Babylon

Babylon

But YAHUAH lives! He knows and sees

And He observes, and hears our pleas

Let us return to Him with repentance

Prostrate ourselves before Him with repentance

While we are still in Babylon

He will forgive and lead us on

The time will come and we will leave the Babylon

Babylon

If I forget You, YAHUAH,

Then let my right hand forget its skill

And withered be

If I remember not Your Word

Then let my tongue cling to the back of my mouth

And silent be

So I’ll play my harp, open my mouth

Lift up my head, and stand upright

And chose to see and hear, be healed and walk the talk

And to walk as MESSIAH walked

I’ll walk as MESSIAH walked

As long as I am still in Babylon

Babylon

Our YAHUAH lives! He knows and sees

And He observes, and hears our pleas

Let us return to Him with repentance

Prostrate ourselves before Him with repentance

While we are still in Babylon

He will forgive and lead us on

The time will come and we will leave the Babylon

PSALM  137  (KJV)

1  By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.

For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.

How shall we sing YAHUAH's Song in a strange land?

If I forget thee, O YAHUAH, let my right hand forget her skill.

If I do not remember Thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not YAHUAH above my chief joy.

1 JOHN   2  (KJV)

And hereby we do know that we know GOD, if we keep His commandments.

He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

But whoso keepeth His word, in Him verily is the love of GOD perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.

He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as the MESSIAH walked.
