My Soul, Be Still! (When Life Is A Winter)

My Soul Be Still!

(Psalm 11)

Oh Abba El, in You I put my trust.

How can I say:  “I’ll fly away to safety”?

And where is it? In mountains? Hills high?

When wicked’s ready — bows are bent and waiting…

If foundations are destroyed by him,

What can the righteous do? In fear tremble?

My soul, be still! Yahuah is never late!

Behold His face in temple of your being.

My soul, be still!  Be still! Be still!

My soul, be still!  Behold His face and trust Him.

Yahuah is there — on His Throne High,

His eyes behold, His eyelids test the mortal.

For Yah is righteous, and His judgement’s true;

It separates the Light from utter Darkness.

My soul, be still! Why fly away you must?

Yah’s eye’s on you to strengthen you in trials.

Say: “Oh Abba, in You I put my trust!

Help me to stand and wait for Your Salvation.”

My soul, be still!  Be still! Be still!

My soul, be still!  Behold His face and trust Him.

Upon the evil He will rain hot coals,

His soul hates the violence of wicked!

Fire and brimstone, and a burning wind

Shall be the portion of their cup - forever.

My soul, be still!  Be still! Be still!

My soul, be still!  Behold His face and trust Him.

PSALM 11 (KJV)

1 In YAHUAH put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4  YAHUAH is in His holy temple, YAHUAH's throne is in heaven: His eyes behold, His eyelids try the children of men.

5  YAHUAH trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence His soul hateth.

Upon the wicked He shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

For the righteous YAHUAH loveth righteousness; His countenance doth behold the upright.
