PLEASANT PORTION
I will bless Yahuah who’s given
Comfort and peace to me.
My heart instructs me in night seasons,
It’s full of joy, its free!
I have set You, Father, always
Before me in life’s way;
Because You are at my right hand
I shall never be moved astray!
O Yah, You’re my Pleasant Portion,
My cup of truth and grace;
Only You maintain my lot in this life —
You’re my Inheritance!
You’re my Inheritance!
You are my Treasure, my Light and Life,
You are my Covering, You are, Adonai,
You are!
But how sad and full of sorrows
Godless on slipp’ry slopes…
But as for me — my heart’s rejoicing,
I will find rest in Hope!
Yah is my Rest and Hope!

Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5 The Lord, YAHUAH, is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 I will bless the LORD, YAHUAH, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 I have set YAHUAH always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
