Arise, O YAHUAH! (When Life is Unjust)

ARISE, YAHUAH!

(Psalm 17:1-9, 13-15)

Arise, Yahuah!

Hear a just cause, attend to my cry

I have called upon You,

Give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips

You have tested my heart

You have visited me in the night

You have tried me and have found nothing

I have purposed

That my mouth shall not transgress

I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer

Keep me as the apple of Your eye

Hide me under the shadow of Your wings

From the wicked who oppress

Deadly enemies, who surround

Arise, Yahuah, for in You I trust!

Arise, Yahuah!

Deliver my life from the wicked

With Your hand, Yahuah,

From men of the world who have their portion in this life

Uphold my steps in Your paths

That my footsteps may not slip

I have called upon You, for You will hear me

O, hear my speech,

And incline Your ear to me

Show Your marvelous kindness by Your right hand

Keep me as the apple of Your eye

Hide me under the shadow of Your wings

From the wicked who oppress

Deadly enemies, who surround

Arise, Yahuah, for in You I trust!

Arise, Yahuah!

You, who saves those who trust in You

Vindicate me

Let Your eyes look on the things that are upright

As for me, Yahuah,

I’ll see Your face in righteousness

I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness

Yahuah, I will see

Your face in righteousness

I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness

Keep me as the apple of Your eye

Hide me under the shadow of Your wings

From the wicked who oppress

 Deadly enemies, who surround

Arise, Yahuah, for in You I trust!

Psalm 17 (KJV)

1  Hear the right, O YAHUAH, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.

Let my sentence come forth from Thy presence; let Thine eyes behold the things that are equal.

Thou hast proved mine heart; Thou hast visited me in the night; Thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing (wicked); I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

Concerning the works of men, by the word of Thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.

Hold up my goings in Thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.

I have called upon Thee, for Thou wilt hear me, O GOD: incline Thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

Shew Thy marvellous lovingkindness, O Thou that savest by Thy right hand them which put their trust in Thee from those that rise up against them.

Keep me as the apple of Thy eye, hide me under the shadow of Thy wings,

From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about...

13 Arise, O YAHUAH, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is Thy sword:

14 From men which are Thy hand, O Lord, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life...

15 As for me, I will behold Thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness.
