THANKSGIVING SONG OF PRAISE
"For each new morning with it’s light
We thank You, YAHUAH!
For rest and shelter of the night
We thank You, YAHUAH!
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Your goodness sends -- (by Ralph Emerson)",
That Your love’s real, and not pretense
We thank You, YAHUAH!
That we can walk and talk, and hear
We thank You, YAHUAH!
That we can feel, and know You’re near
We thank You, YAHUAH!
That You redeemed us on the cross
And saved us from eternal loss,
And opened Kingdom’s gates to us
We thank You, YAHUSHA!
For Holy Spirit from above
We thank You, YAHUAH!
His comfort, wisdom, strength and love
We thank You, YAHUAH!
For mercy, every morning new,
For joy and song and prayer, too,
For hope, and all-in-all, for You
We thank You, YAHUAH!
For peaceful night and time of rest
We thank You, YAHUAH!
For great provisions of Your best
We thank You, YAHUAH!
For Your protection and Your grace,
For breath of life and for this place,
For time of prayer, songs of praise
We thank You, YAHUAH!
For granting us together be
We thank You, YAHUAH!
For laughter, joy of family
We thank You, YAHUAH!
That You are teaching us Your ways,
And how to humbly live our days,
For heart, that love You and obeys —
We thank You, YAHUAH!
2011
In 2011 I started teaching our little children (at that time), to sing. It was a time of Thanksgiving in US. Plus, I had to do it in English. How? What words? My mind was racing, we had so very little time to get the song ready so the children could sing it, and encourage their father to sing it as well...
And, behold the power of searching! This particular Song of Thanksgiving was born then. I wanted to include many other things for which we are thankful, so the words were added to the borrowed at that time stanza by Ralph Emerson. At first, I was leading, and the children were just repeating "We thank You!". Later, however, they learned all the words, and we were singing it every week. For GOD is worthy of all praise, all the time! I printed a few pages with pictures for the children to look at and know what they were (or ought to be) thankful for... It is was a beautiful time of our lives! Still is.
GOD is good! All the time. All the time.
